In honor of Walt Disney's birthday today, I thought I would post my storyboards fromour Walt and Mickey moment. Trent Correy and I knew we wanted a moment in the short where Mickey would honor Walt, but the thought of it was pretty daunting. What would Mickey say? How much time do you spend on it? We thought for sure this would be something we were going to work and rework and rework but as it turned out, the first version we wrote and layered "Feed the Birds" under it in editorial it just...felt right to us. Here's to you Walt. None of us would be here at the studio if you hadn't stayed with it and pushed through the hard times, the box office disappointments and the people saying you were nuts.
